Bored Ape Yacht Club Founder’s Real Names Uncovered

People were confused when internet music retailer Bored Ape Yacht Club announced that they had released another album, even though it had been less than a year since their last one.

Somehow part of the hype around this release, which was on April 1st, 2019, centered on how mysterious the group’s founding members are – information that came out in various ways over the past three years.

The group that started the internet music retailer Bored Ape Yacht Club three years ago has finally revealed themselves, but not at all how fans expected. The website of internet shoegaze band Bored Ape Yacht Club announced today that they have not only released another album, but also that they have revealed who the founders of the group are.

The mystery behind Bored Ape Yacht Club was one of the main reasons to stay interested in them as a band. Now, knowing their real identities won’t be as interesting as it would have been if they were kept secret.

The duo behind the new class of superyacht artistry are actually real-life brothers, who originate from a wealthy family in Zürich, Switzerland.

What once began as photo shoots of friends on boats has grown into an internationally celebrated multi-platform brand with luxurious voyages around the world and its own suite of merchandise. The pair have attracted some high profile followers, including Hollywood actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Orlando Bloom.

“Real names are Stefan Baumgartner & Christian Schlauri – they come from a wealthy family in Zurich”

This information comes after weeks of speculation about how much these two individuals really know about their own game — Shredded Moose. Modupe Chittester (real name) and Ibrahim Butt (real name) made their first appearance in the Yacht Club Games day 1 update several months ago. That video showed them playing what appears to be a demo version of Shovel Knight while joking around with members of the development team. Since then, their identities have remained a mystery.

“Supersole is the guy who I would say has dabbled in everything, but never dived deeper into anything,” says Butt (real name). “He was an orphan raised by his older sister. He’s kind of known for being fearless and rebellious.” His real-life personality seems to completely match that of the character he portrays on screen. For example, it is rumored that Supersole once set fire to a KFC after he found out they had run out of hot sauce.

As for Bored Ape (real name), many theories about his true identity exist on Yacht Club Games’ subreddit. Although most people suspect he is just Bored Ape, some believe that he is actually Ibrahim Butt playing a prank on the viewers. “Well of course I’m also Bored Ape,” says Chittester (real name). “Supersole is my best friend. We grew up together in Fiji.”

Neither of them wished to comment on rumors that they are involved with criminal activity or terrorism. When asked about these allegations, Chittester simply retorted, “Buh?”
