Adobe is developing a new AI video model for its Firefly family. This new tool will be part of the Premiere Pro video editing platform. Users will be able to generate videos and add or remove objects using text prompts.

These Firefly tools will work with third-party integrations. Runway, Pika Labs, and OpenAI’s Sora models will be part of this. Users can extend video clips and generate new content like never before.

Adobe has yet to set a release date for these tools. They plan to roll them out sometime this year. The company showcased their video model in an early demo, but the third-party integrations are still in early stages. Adobe calls it an "early exploration" of what future tools might look like.

The goal is to give Premiere Pro users more choices. They can use models like Pika to extend shots, or Sora and Runway AI for generating B-roll. Adobe’s Content Credentials labels will identify which AI models generated the clips. This will help users know the source of their AI-generated content.

Adobe continues to push the boundaries with AI in video editing. These new tools promise to make video production faster and easier. Users will be able to create more complex and polished videos with less effort.
